Limited Edition DEWAR'S 15 Year Aged Blended Scotch Whisky Makes its Debut

Coral Gables, Fla., October 15, 2014 – DEWAR’S, the world’s most awarded Blended Scotch whisky, has created the perfect gift for Scotch lovers this holiday season: the limited edition DEWAR’S 15 year old blended Scotch whisky. As one of the only 15 year blended whiskies available in the United States, this rare new blend is the perfect spirit to toast the start of 2015. The latest innovation to join the already successful DEWAR’S core portfolio of DEWAR’S White Label, DEWAR’S 12, DEWAR’S 18 and DEWAR’S Signature, DEWAR’S 15 will be available exclusively from October through the holiday season. 

DEWAR’S 15, created by master blender Stephanie Macleod, is a blend of carefully selected single malt and single grain whiskies that have been matured for a minimum of 15 years in sherry and bourbon casks. Once blended, this beautifully crafted whisky is filled back into specially selected oak casks for an additional period of maturation, known as marrying, to achieve enhanced smoothness and a longer, lingering finish. According to Macleod, “this is a luxuriously smooth and enticing blend with notes of honey and golden toffee, which gives way to rich succulent exotic fruits with hints of coconut and vanilla aromas, as well as citrus and green apple notes.” The delicate and exquisitely scented floral aromas create a smooth, well-rounded, light and velvety finish, which is best served neat.

The bottle design also features the trefoil Celtic truth knot, which is a new feature for all DEWAR’S packaging. As a powerful visual representation of DEWAR’S strength and longevity, three interlocking ‘D’s represent the three men of substance who created the company which endures to this day – John Dewar and his sons, John Alexander Dewar and Tommy Dewar. The design is intended to embody Tommy Dewar’s famous and widely quoted maxim that “the quality of the article should be its greatest advertisement.” This logo brings to light the storied history of the brand. 

DEWAR’S 15 year old blended scotch whisky, retailing for $50.00 (750ml), will be available in limited quantity nationwide at select retailers and via ReserveBar.com.
