Each letterbox- friendly delivery is filled with award-winning* unique and unexpected stories of craft and heritage, that will give you a one-of-a-kind taste of whisky history; including ABERFELDY’s 21-year-old single malt highland scotch, a golden dram that’s rich in honey flavour with creamy intensity and toasted coconut, and CRAIGELLACHIE’s 17 Years Old Speyside spirit, bursting with dried tropical and exotic fruit notes, underlined by smoky liquorice – both recently awarded double gold medals at the World Spirits competition.

Leading Malt Master Stephanie Macleod’s obsession with maturation and finishing in the finest selected casks has led to the re-imagining of the new ROYAL BRACKLA range and its mission to create the finest sherry cask finished malt whisky in the world. Drams to Door subscribers will be given the opportunity to taste the full recently launched range including ROYAL BRACKLA 12 Years Old, finished in Oloroso sherry casks, creating an opulent, fruity whisky with rich sherried notes and soft spicy overtones; ROYAL BRACKLA 18 Years Old, revered for its Palo Cortado sherry cask finish, which results in layers of sweet, dried fruits and warm spices on the palate and ROYAL BRACKLA 21 Years Old finished in a blend of Pedro Ximénez Oloroso and Palo Cortado Sherry Casks, coming to the fore in its syrupy toffee and richly fragrant summer berry notes.

Taking tastebuds on a truly flavourful journey, subscribers can also try one of the DEWAR’S award-winning 8 Years Old innovative Cask Finish Series, with drams from both DEWAR’s Caribbean Smooth and DEWAR’s Ilegal Smooth – two delicious whiskies blended from up to 40 single malt and grain whiskies and double-aged before being finished in either Caribbean rum casks for silky caramel and pineapple flavours or Mexican mezcal casks, resulting in uniquely smoky and herbaceous notes of green pepper.

THE WILD CARD

In addition to the range of whisky, the first woody box will include a measure of SANTA TERESA 1796Ò Rum, a spirit often mistaken for a whisky due to its blend of rums aged up to 35 years in bourbon barrels, which are further blended through an artisanal solera method, resulting in a beautifully dry, smooth and balanced spirit with an unexpectedly dry finish.

The new flavour-fuelled Drams to Door subscription service
(RRP £34.99 per month / £40 for a single box) is available from www.dramstodoor.co.uk now whilst stocks last, nationwide delivery and global delivery (on request).

About Milroys Soho

London’s Original Whisky Specialist, Milroys Soho opened in 1964 as The Milroy’s Soho Wine Market and was instrumental in the introduction of Scottish single malts to the UK market in the 1960’s and ‘70’s. Milroy’s became known for selling the largest selection of whisky in London, even delivering to No. 10 Downing Street, and many of the biggest names in whisky started their careers on the shop floor.

In 2014, Milroys Soho was purchased by Martyn ‘Simo’ Simpson, who was determined to maintain its individuality and heritage. He installed a whisky bar in the shop and reinstated the cellar bar, working with Bar Manager Chris Tanner to create the much-lauded The Vault cocktail bar– famously hidden behind a bookcase. Milroys continues to expand its unparalleled selection of whiskies from all over the world, curated by their expert team, whose encyclopaedic knowledge and unrivalled passion builds on the legacy of London's Original Whisky Specialist.

About Milroys Spitalfields

Building on the legacy of the Milroy’s Brothers and the contemporary direction the brand has taken in the last five years, 2019 saw the opening of Milroys Spitalfields, a four-storey whisky lovers’ paradise on the iconic Commercial Street.

With the UK’s largest selection of whisky outside of Scotland, the ground floor Whisky Bar serves whisky from around the world by the dram alongside a relaxed cocktail menu, while The Proofing Room in the basement offers a relaxed, speakeasy feel with interesting-yet- unpretentious drinks. The top two floors serve as The Dram House private members club, named for the pop-up bars the Milroy Brothers’ established in Japan. Over three floors, members can experience Milroys' vast selection of whisky from around the world and utilise their unmatched connections in the industry to enjoy unfettered access to unique and unusual drams.

About ABERFELDY Single Malt Scotch Whisky

ABERFELDY distillery was founded in 1898 by the dynamic Dewar brothers, John Alexander and Tommy. They built on a site just a stone’s throw from the birthplace of their father, the pioneering blender John Dewar.

Alongside the distillery, and known to contain deposits of alluvial gold, flows the Pitilie Burn; the perfect water source for the Golden Dram. While inside, time-honoured techniques like long fermentation, which conjures rare, honeyed notes, safeguard the whisky’s flavour profile, renowned for its rich, sweet, smooth taste.

The brand’s core portfolio is comprised of ABERFELDY 12 Years Old, ABERFELDY 16 Years and ABERFELDY 21 Years Old. The single malt brand of ABERFELDY is part of the portfolio of Bacardi Limited, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda. Bacardi Limited refers to the Bacardi group of companies, including Bacardi International Limited.

About CRAIGELLACHIE Single Malt Scotch whisky

CRAIGELLACHIE began production in 1891, built by Peter Mackie and Alexander Edward high on the craggy rock upon which the village of Craigellachie stands, above the confluence of two great rivers in the very heart of Speyside.

Described as “old-fashioned” even in 1891, staying true to traditions the distillery still uses worm tubs to cool the sprit, bestowing extra flavour and creating a distinctive muscular character to rival whisky twice its age. CRAIGELLACHIE is famously robust and challenging in style.

The brand’s core portfolio is comprised of CRAIGELLACHIE 13 Years Old, CRAIGELLACHIE 17 Years Old and CRAIGELLACHIE 23 Years Old. The single malt brand of CRAIGELLACHIE is part of the portfolio of Bacardi Limited, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda. Bacardi Limited refers to the Bacardi group of companies, including Bacardi International Limited.

About DEWAR’S

Founded in 1846 by John Dewar, DEWAR'S has grown from a small wine and spirits merchant shop in Scotland, to one of the largest Scotch whisky brands in the world. Best known for its iconic DEWAR'S WHITE LABEL, it has expanded its family to create a portfolio of premium and super premium whiskies including DEWAR'S 12-Year-Old, DEWAR'S 15- Year-Old, DEWAR'S 18-Year-Old, DEWAR’S Double Double Series, DEWAR’S Caribbean Smooth and the exclusive DEWAR'S 25. These whiskies are crafted using the DEWAR'S oak marrying ageing process, which involves returning the hand-crafted blend to vintage oak casks for further maturation. The result is a smoother taste with a long, lingering finish; a taste that wins medals and applause, making DEWAR'S the world's most awarded blended Scotch. The DEWAR'S brand is part of the portfolio of Bacardi Limited, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda. Bacardi Limited refers to the Bacardi group of companies, including Bacardi International Limited.

About ROYAL BRACKLA Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Founded in 1812 by Captain William Fraser, ROYAL BRACKLA’s regal malt has a remarkable history. The distillery itself is over two centuries old and its malt’s nickname of ‘The King’s Own Whisky’ stems from its distinction as the first Single Malt to be granted a Royal Warrant. A feat that raised whisky’s wider status to a drink fit for kings and queens. ‘The Drink Divine’, as it was known once it furnished the royal table, is one of the foundation stones in the story of Scotland’s national drink.

High-grade barley, flawless water from the Cawdor Burn and slow distillation produce a truly refined spirit, before each age statement is expertly finished in specific types of the finest of Sherry Casks, imparting each expression with incredible complexity and opulent sherried notes. The newly revised portfolio comprises three ROYAL BRACKLA single malts: the 12 Years Old, 18 Years Old and 21 Years Old. The single malt brand of ROYAL

BRACKLA is part of the portfolio of Bacardi Limited, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda. Bacardi Limited refers to the Bacardi group of companies, including Bacardi International Limited.

About SANTA TERESA 1796 Rum

Founded over 200 years ago in the heart of Venezuela, five generations of the Vollmer family have been the head and heart of the Hacienda Santa Teresa, refining and improving the techniques of rum making from generation to generation. Santa Teresa 1796 is a blend of rums aged for up to 35 years before being aged in bourbon barrels and further matured through an artisanal Solera method, making for a smooth and balanced rum of exceptional richness with an unexpectedly dry finish.

One of the Caribbean's first rum producers, originating from the valley of Aragua, Venezuela, the brand started life as a sugar cane plantation in 1796 and remains to this day as a family owned and independently owned business. Starting commercial production in around 1885, Santa Teresa rums have been produced at Hacienda Santa Teresa for more than two centuries and are now present in more than 30
countries. Registered in 1909, the Santa Teresa brand boasts the title of Venezuela’s very first rum trademark – the second trademark in the country overall – as well as proudly carrying the “Ron de Venezuela” (Rum of Venezuela) DOC label.
