Mylo is remixing Ronika’s forthcoming single – ‘Rough and Sooth’ - and the pair also collaborated on a brand new track, ‘Dance The Modern Way’.
‘Rough and Sooth’ is due to be released in the next few weeks, with ‘Dance The Modern Way’ set for release in early 2013. Both tracks will be available to listen to at the BACARDÍ Soundcloud channel – www.soundcloud.com/bacarditogether
The pair got together at The Premises Studio in Hackney, which has also hosted Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines and Spector in recent months.
Since announcing himself on the dance music scene with the multi-million selling album ‘Destroy Rock n’Roll’, Mylo has collaborated with a variety of artists. Over the last few years he has remixed artists as diverse as The Killers, Scissor Sisters, Cut Copy and Niki and The Dove, while using his Ecstasy, Passion and Pain club night to champion up-and-coming acts.
Ronika – a singer/songwriter and producer based in Nottingham – has released three EPs on her own Record Shop label. She’s previously collaborated with DJ Herve on the track ‘How Can I Live Without You (Make It Right)’ and performed at both the Isle of Wight Festival and Lovebox earlier this year. Her debut album is due to be released in 2013.
The studio time is just one example of how Mylo & Ronika have spent a BACARDÍ Beginnings Bursary of £10,000 – donated by BACARDÍ to help Ronika develop her music career.
